Luxury Home Virtual Reality Visualization

Objective: Provide a highly detailed, immersive experience that provides architects, engineers, designers, and end users with the ability to exist in a digitally constructed virtual world. Saving great expense in constructing actual models, sales centres, show homes. Dramatically reduce design decision making time and cost and schedule overruns by allowing for changes and alterations prior to construction.

Concept: Utilizing CAD files provided by an architect, necessary conversions were utilized to create an accurate, to-scale immersive VR experience. Unrestricted transportability was critical throughout the build, as well as custom 3D assets implemented.

University of Alberta - Through the Looking Glass

Objective: Create an immersive experience that demonstrates the effects of vision loss due to common eye diseases such as glaucoma, cataracts, and age-related macular degeneration. Designed to educate and build empathy, it targets early stage patients, families and health care providers.

Concept: Using a highly stylized animated world in the “Through the Looking Glass” vane , an immersive VR experience is created that asks participants to conduct 3 visual challenges in this world while coping with the gradual effects of vision loss, depending on the condition they are exposed to. Upon successful completion of the challenges, they are rewarded by being transported to a vivid and spectacular “Wonderland”.

VR Fall Safety Training

Objective: Train a vital safety skill in industrial settings by placing a trainee in a virtual hazardous scenario that can replicate serious consequences.

Concept: 3D model, build and animate a realistic, immersive industrial warehouse experience, putting the user in a first person position. Used realistic motion graphics to simulate fall.

VR Emergency Preparedness

Objective: Re-create the violence and destructive power of a hurricane in under-developed nations in an effort to educate and prepare citizens and relief workers.

Concept: 3D model, build and animate a realistic, immersive hurricane experience on a tropical ocean front locale, utilizing custom directional audio

ChiroGrafix Virtual Reality

Objective: Utilizing VR’s proven engagement characteristics, create a unique immersive learning experience for chiropractic patients to understand succinctly what’s going on with their skeletal/muscular system based on the practitioner’s Report of Findings.

Concept: Upon evaluation, the patient puts on the headset and immediately become immersed in a virtual environment where they are presented a representation of their spine (body) highlighting problem areas. Intuitive slider controls were created to adjust diagnostic indicators such as vertebra position, swelling, localized and generalized spasms, as well as levels of referred or radiated pain.
