Anatomy VR Simulation

Project Name: Eyeball Journey

Client: University of Alberta

Project Overview:

A proof of concept platform for teaching eye anatomy in VR. The eye is a complex and small organ that is difficult to study
with dissections because the structures are not easily identifiable. The current curriculum for eye anatomy involves
2-dimensional diagrams or drawings of eye structures and animal dissections. VR allows an easily accessible and
cheap alternative to the shortcomings of diagrams and the expense of dissection. Our model is an anatomically correct
cutaway augmented with interactive labels that allows students to explore the eye and recognize and identify structures at their own pace.
